We are continuing our hockey learning sessions throughout the spring, so if you know a girl who would like to learn to play hockey, send her to Wild Things!
This session is a ten-week program designed to get kids ready to play on a team during the season. Players can start at any time as long as space is available in the session.
Day / Time:
** special start times on June 4th (start: 11am) and June 11th (start: 7:30am)

We are in the process of creating committees to help with the several big tasks ahead for the Wild. If you are interested in joining, please fill out the special interest form so we can get you connected.
3-on-3 hockey is one of the best ways to train and have fun on the ice. The game is faster than regular hockey and provides opportunities for all girls to build their skills. USA Hockey recognizes it as an excellent way to develop a player's quickness, playmaking skills, and hockey sense.
The Western Washington Female Hockey Association (WWFHA) was established in 2002 when a group of dedicated parents desiring a place for their daughters to play ice hockey started the association with three teams.
As the association has grown, several distinct teams have been created to support the age and ability levels:
In the last ten years, WWFHA has transitioned from a recreational club providing girls an opportunity to play ice hockey to an association aiming to meet the competitive and recreational goals of each and every female hockey player.
WWFHA is a member of USA Hockey, Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (PNAHA), the prestigious Canadian Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association (PCAHA) female division, and the Western Girls Hockey League.
Congratulations to all of the 2006-2009 players that attended the 2023 PNAHA Girls Development Camp this past weekend. We are very excited to share that our very own 2009 Defense Audrey Spencer was selected to continue on to the Multi-District camp! Congratulations, Audrey! PNAHA Girls Development Camp is a yearly opportunity for girls across the state to come together, learn new skills, and showcase their abilities while vying for a spot in the Multi-District Development Camp later this year. Players selected from this year’s Multi-District Development Camp will continue on to the National Development Camp that will take place in Ohio this summer.
Frances Foy and Presley (Moose) Gulick from the WWFHA 12UAA team have been accepted into the PCAHA High Performance U13 District Development Program for 2022-23.
This program provides Elite Development weekends for the top U13 players playing in British Columbia. We are incredibly proud of these girls for making such a strong showing at the tryouts and representing our Wild program with excellence!
The PCAHA District Development program's mandate is to provide a pathway of excellence for players looking to challenge themselves and take their game to the next level at U18AAA or collegiate hockey.
If you’ve been in this hockey world for a bit, you know that all kids play 8U hockey together – playing, learning, and having a ton of fun! 10U is also focused on fun and skills development, and for some kids, that means that they are ready for a bit more.
We offer our 10UB program for these kids: they still play on the 10U league teams and participate once per week in our all-10U practice, but they also have a second practice per week with our 12UA team – the beginning of our Rep hockey program.
Rep hockey is the higher level of hockey competition. The girls practice a little harder, and are motivated to get better and learn more skills so they can be prepared for 12U tryouts the following season. Having practices together with the 12UA team prepares them mentally and skills-wise for that challenge!
Rep hockey is still a ton of fun! But it is mixed in with hard work and the satisfaction of competing at a challenging level. 10UB will be travelling to tournaments in BC and on the West Coast, and will experience the excitement of competing against teams from other areas.
If you are interested in our 10UB program, we will be holding evaluations during the first two weeks of September. Please email jennwood@wwfha.com for more information!
This will be where all team gear can be ordered throughout the season, from gear bags, to track suits, to dryland gear, to t-shirts, hats, scarves, etc..... Something for everyone in the family!
We are working with Play it Again Sports in Lynnwood to host the store and all items can be shipped to your home, or picked up for free at their store.
A portion of all purchases will go to support WWFHA. Happy Shopping!
