Season Registration and Transfer Information

How to Register for WWFHA Teams

Thank you for wanting to be a Washington Wild player!

For Rep Team Players (AAA, AA, A, or B):

1. Register for Rep Team Tryouts (Spring/Summer before season starts):

  • All players are welcome at tryouts!
  • You may need a release to tryout for the Seattle Red Hawks, please check with your former association if you have any questions.

2. Register with WWFHA:

  • Once you are selected/assigned a team, please register for your age group.
  • This is a two-step process. Acceptance at tryouts does not mean you are automatically registered for the team. You must officially commit to the team at registration.
  • If you are coming from another association, you must have a release on file to register for a team for the season.

For Washington Wild Rec Team/League Players (C):

1. Register with WWFHA:

  •  No Tryouts necessary!
  • Once registration is open for the season, you can register your player. Please register for the appropriate age group based on player's birth year. The age divisions will have the current birth years for the upcoming season if you have questions.
  • If you are coming from another association, you must have a release on file with us to register for a team for the season.

For Learn To Play Players:

1. Register for a Wild Things session

  • This is a bridge program that focuses on preparing players to join a team in a positive and supportive all-girl environment.
  • These sessions run year-round and can be joined at any time.
  • For more information and to register for the current session, check out our New to Hockey page

Information About Transferring From Another Association to WWFHA

Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (PNAHA), is the USA Hockey affiliate serving the State of Washington. PNAHA's rules guarantee that all female youth hockey players in Washington are eligible to register to play for WWFHA regardless of where they played previously.

BEFORE registering with WWFHA online and completing paperwork, the player/family needs to request a written release from their previous association. The release letter signifies that all fees have been paid to their previous association and that the player is in good standing.

Please contact our Registrar, who can help with the transfer process and answer any questions you may have at registrar@wwfha.com.
